Creative Arts at SPECIALTY COVE
Specialty Cove is literally the “coolest” place at camp! Situated by breezy Mill River and shaded by huge sycamore trees, as well as our indoor, rain or shine air-conditioned facilities, each camper’s creativity and exploration flourish in the many specialty areas at Rolling River. Whether it’s being in the spotlight on stage in the Sea Breeze Theater, creating an everlasting woodworking project at Hammerhead Haven or participating in one of the wondrous experiments in The Coral Reef, we offer endless opportunities in age appropriate activities for children to “take a plunge” into “uncharted waters” safely supervised by our superior staff.
Rhonda Goodman, Owner/Director, Specialty Cove Director and certified art teacher, personally meets pre-season with all specialty staff to ensure age appropriate and fun activities. Our Specialty staff, most of who have been at Rolling River for many years, prepares projects and lessons for regularly scheduled periods, hobby and special
rainy day activities. Campers love to visit our Loading Dock area where they are able to learn what their parents learned when they were campers … remember doing lanyard, beading,
and friendship bracelets when YOU were at camp?
