Creative Arts

Specialty Cove is literally the “coolest” place at camp! Situated by breezy Mill River and shaded by huge sycamore trees, as well as our indoor, rain or shine air-conditioned facilities, each camper’s creativity and desire to explore flourishes in the many specialty areas at Rolling River. We offer endless opportunities for children to “take a plunge” into “uncharted waters” with the encouragement and support of our superior staff.

Rhonda Goodman, Owner/Director, Specialty Cove Director and certified art teacher, personally meets pre-season with all specialty staff to help plan a wide variety of age appropriate and fun activities. Our Specialty Staff, most of who have been at Rolling River for many years, prepares projects and lessons for regularly scheduled periods, hobby periods and special rainy day activities. Campers love to visit our Loading Dock area where they are able to learn what their parents learned when they were campers … remember doing lanyard, beading, and friendship bracelets when YOU were at camp?

This is what our campers will discover in Specialty Cove:
