Our “Chief Officers”, otherwise known as the “Leadership Team”, are the guiding lights of Rolling River. This dedicated and experienced group works tirelessly throughout the year and during the summer so that our campers’ experience will be positive, safe and successful. The team also mentors and supervises our staff prior to and throughout the camp season. Many of our Supervisors joined the RRDC family during our inaugural season in 1993! All of the members of our diverse and talented leadership team work year-round as teachers certified in various degrees, such as early childhood, elementary and secondary education, special education, Physical Education, medical professions, water safety and Red Cross Instructors, athletic coaches, and of course, most importantly, many of them are parents too!

Not only does Ron bring over 35 years of camp experience to the table, but he is an experienced educator who has been teaching Special Education for many years in the New York City Public schools.
Daughter of Directors Rhonda and Mark, Marissa has been living and breathing the Rolling River spirit since its inaugural season in 1993. Marissa grew up at camp beginning at the age of 3. She attended Rolling River as a camper and assistant counselor as well as attended overnight camp for many years. After graduating from Cornell University’s business program in 2006, Marissa held positions on both the client and agency sides in the advertising industry, specializing in events, sponsorships, and consumer promotions. She returned to RRDC as a full-time crew member in 2010 and developed our successful Campmates Sponsor Program, which encourages local businesses to sponsor the tuition of a deserving camper from Peninsula Counseling Center. Marissa recently completed her M.B.A in small business management/entrepreneurship and continues to bring innovative ideas to the “Riva” in technology, marketing, community development and programming.

Anthony now serves as our Operations and Facility Manager and is very instrumental in being responsible for trip scheduling, daily programming, on-site technology and facility improvements. Anthony loves coming to work knowing that it’s another day to make a positive impact on a child’s life.
Jill has spent nearly every summer of her life at summer camp! A native of Oceanside, she could be seen smiling and laughing at Camp DeBaun for thirty-one years. Jill began as a preschool camper and worked her way up the ranks. During the past 15 years, when Jill is not in camp, she teaches ELA in the NYC Public School system. No stranger to working with children, Jill has also taught in preschool and is extremely involved in her 2 childrens’ extra-curricular activities. Her husband, Roger, is also an educator as Principal of Island Trees Memorial Middle School. After working at Rolling River Day Camp for the past 5 years in our Skipper Division Specialty Area, as well as leading many Skipper Special Events, we are ecstatic to have Jill join our Leadership Team as our Skipper Division Supervisor. She has proven to the staff and parent body that she is a true professional, and most important to our Skipper campers, extremely patient and very nurturing!
