Rolling River’s nurturing environment is the ideal place for a young camper to begin a successful camp experience. Our Skipper Division includes campers from ages 3 to 5. Rolling River utilizes the entire campus to provide the Skippers with an extensive program second to none in athletics, movement and the creative arts. However, the size of our campgrounds is just right for these youngsters as the facility is not too large and overly intimidating. The newly renovated, air conditioned “pilothouse”, or main building, serves as the safe and comfortable home base for the Skipper Division. If you are looking for the perfect camp setting that combines outstanding supervision, meticulous facilities and diverse programs for young children, you will not find a better place than Rolling River Day Camp.
We start our youngest “Mates” with a program that is custom designed for their ages. Rolling River was the first day camp in the area to provide innovative options in order to meet the varied needs of young children:
3, 4, or 5 day programs
½ day, ¾ day, or full day programs
Flexible schedules
Air-conditioned buildings
Safe and age-appropriate sports equipment and facilities
Warm, loving and experienced counselors who genuinely enjoy working with our “littlest” campers
The counselor to camper ratio does not exceed one counselor to every four campers
Counselors in training, “CITs”, are not used in Rolling River’s ratio…they are in the group to provide additional support
Rolling River works closely with our parents to obtain feedback, enabling us to meet the constantly evolving needs of our children
Our Skippers enjoy many of the activities that our older campers do, just at their own pace!
