Why Join the Crew?

Our camp has been enormously successful since our maiden voyage in 1993 because of the outstanding staff we have been able to continuously assemble every year. Crew members at Rolling River have the opportunity to develop important “life-skills” that will be instrumental in being a successful and productive adult in the future. Most people do not realize that being a staff member at a camp enables you to develop more “marketable” skills in areas such as:

  • leadership
  • communication
  • problem-solving
  • team-building

Just as important, you will be given the chance in making a positive difference that can have an everlasting effect on a child. No matter where you work in camp, you will be able to enhance the camper’s summer by aiding in the development of his or her:

  • self-confidence
  • physical prowess
  • creativity
  • social skills
  • independence

While we expect our crew members to possess a strong work ethic, we also know that they’re working at camp to have an enjoyable summer! Just like campers, our staff members make life-long friendships, develop important personal skills and form endless memories of their incredible summer experience. The Rolling River Spirit Committee, the staff softball team, many special events, and the annual staff party are all examples of how our crew members have fun down by the RIVA!
