What an thrilling week at the RIVA! Despite the heatwave, we kept the excitement going. On Monday, we enjoyed the slip and slide, splashed around in the Stingray Cay sprinklers and cooled off with refreshing snow cones for dessert. The 3rd and 4th graders had a blast at Adventureland, riding rollercoasters, playing arcade games, and enjoying water rides on their first big summer trip. Monday night kicked off our Visiting Nights where half the Mariner Division (groups G1, G2, G3, B4, B5, B6, G8, G9, B10, B11) shared their camp experiences with their families. Tuesday brought more water fun with our slip and slide and pool activities. The Navigators visited Urban Air, while our CITs explored Inter_NYC, diving into a journey of self-discovery in enchanting, otherworldly environments. It was also our second Visiting Night for the other half of the Mariner Division (B1, B2, B3, G4, G5, G6, B8, B9, G10, G11), where they enjoyed swimming and two activities before treating themselves to ice cream.

Wednesday was filled with excitement as our Navigators went ice skating or attended a Broadway show in the city, “Back to the Future- The Musical”. On Thursday, the Navigators visited Medieval Times, and stepped into a 11th century-style castle where Medieval Spain came to life with epic battles.

To cap off the week, we dressed up in Candyland attire on Friday. Our Skippers enjoyed a fantastical Candyland Junior world with bumper cars, a soft play station from Funcation Station, and dipping marshmallows into the chocolate fountain from Chocolate Works. Our Mariners and Navigators loved the interactive Candyland board game by SoFun City. All campers visited the Gummy Bear Candy Cart and enjoyed candy-themed ice cream. Next week we welcome our Skipper Division families for Visiting Nights and we’ll bid farewell to our Half Season 1 campers before welcoming Half Season 2. We will also host the best day of the summer next Friday…Carnival!! Until next week, Anchors Away!
